Tour the world's smallest, strongest, lightest, most intricate architecture. A nanostructure is a structure of intermediate size between microscopic and molecular structures. The construction of these nanostructures is as complex as the Eiffel Tower, but small enough to fit inside a strand of hair. Their design repeats an eight-sided or octagonal shape up to three orders of scale, making it hierarchical and semi-fractal.
