Using the free Wonder Science video, “The Sun,” as a starting point, this digital product presents a thought-provoking 5E lesson plan that takes students through the NGSS 3D learning components for NGSS K-PS3-1,2.

There are oodles of ways to learn through this 42-page Lesson Plan, both in the classroom and at home. The Sun Lesson Plan presents multidisciplinary activities that use the topic of the video as the inspiration for math, language, reading, and writing activities based on grade-level Common Core State Standards.

Additional activities allow students to interact with real scientists by sending their inquiries to Wonder Science and sharing their learning through the Wonder Science Student Spotlight page.  Moreover, students can engage in mindfulness while listening to the music and drawing/writing whatever comes to mind.  You can print out the PDF or use it digitally.
